  • The Petra Treasury needs little introduction. It's an amazing facade cut into the mountain side.

  • The Hakkoda-Towada Gold Line connects the city of Aomori and Lake Towada. It's closed during the winter. They use huge snow blowers to cut through the snow to open the roadway by 1 April every year. It is said that the wall can reach up to 6.5 meters in height. It could be close to that given the hight of the car for scale. I took this picture by climbing up on the wall at an opening further up the road.
