The monk is leading the ceremony to dedicate the new Buddha statue at Wat Si Ping Mauang. The new Buddha statue is the light colored statue just below the large golden one. Note the white strings coming from the large buddha.. The strings connect the Buddha to the participants in an overhead maze. The strings can also extend out into the community to connect houses and smalleer Buddhas within them.
