The Songkran parade was a procession of Buddhas from different temples from around Chiang Mai. People along the parade route through water on the Buddhas and in some cases had someone on the truck do it gently on their behalf. Pouring water is a significant act during Songkran, symbolizing cleansing, reverence and good fortune.
