Windshield View
We spent a lot of time on the road between destinations in Tibet. Although we stopped periodically I shot numerous images from the moving minibus. The bouncing on the bumpy Tibetan roads (paved or otherwise) made this quite a challenge. In some cases I was thrown across the seats when trying to shoot an image. Some of the images are sharp and others are crap. Using an image stabilized lens certainly helped but the technology can only do so much.

Sandy Hillsides
An amazing site was to see sand that was blown up the sides of mountains along the river.
Hot Spring
The roadside hot spring had the pungent odor of sulfur.

Grinding Flower
We stopped by the highway to visit a small building where they were grinding barley into flower. The mill was powered by a small water wheel in the adjacent stream.
Flower Mill Dude
This guy was ran the little flower mill. His ghostly look is from the fine flower dust in the air. After spending less than a minute in the mill I had to clean the dust off my clothes and equipment. He's working in there all the time!

This girl was wandering around while we were waiting for an truck accident to clear in the mountains.
Accicent at 16,000 feet
A truck overturned at the switchback on the mountain road. The overturned truck on the right was blocking the road. Some trucks were able to cut across the corner to bypass the accident as seen in the middle. This was one of several accidents we saw in the mountains.
Pushing Bus!
Unfortunately our minibus got stuck when trying to bypass the accident. We were pushing to help it up the hill while at 16,000 feet. We though our hearts and lungs were going to explode! From left to right pushing are PhotoMann, his brother Dave and Rick. Note: The picture was taken by someone that was not pushing!
