Wat Saket
The Golden Mount (Wat Saket) is one of the highest points in Bangkok.
This beautiful chedi sits on top of the temple. Great panaramic views
can be seen here.
Floating Market
The Damneon Saduak floating market outside of Bangkok is a tourist trap
but exceptional images can be had. This one was captured from a bridge
using a Tamron 70-210SP lens.
Thai Beauty
This image was shot at the Rose Garden outside of Bangkok during a cultural
performance.
Wat Phra Keo
Some of the many chedis at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok.

Statue on Ko Samui
This colorful statue is one of two at the entry to Phra Yai (Temple of
the Big Buddha) at the northern tip of Ko Samui.
Ko Samui Beach
Ko Samui has a lot of fine beaches. This is Hat Chaweng which is the longest
and generally the most popular beach on the island. The sand is white
and the water is clear. This picture was taken from a beach-side cafe
while having breakfast.
Hat Chaweng, Ko Samui
These vendors are on the way to the beach to sell their goods to beach
goers.
Ko Samui Seascape
For this image I used my power line filter... acutally this is the result
of my playing in Photoshop. There were a lot of power lines detracting
from the image.
Chaweng Beach, Ko Samui
I shot this from our breakfast table at a beach side cafe.
Bangkok Skyline
The upper level of Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) affords you outstanding views
of Bangkok.

The Insight Pocket Guide series of books is my favorite
for short stays at any destination. The book highlights the must see
destinations in full day and half day itineraries. This includes detailed
maps and suggested walking routes. This Thailand guide is a must have
especially for a short visit. Insight also published individual guides
for Chiang
Mai and Phuket
but they're currently out of print.

Koh
Samui and Environs: Thailand's Tropical Haven (3rd Ed)
Koh Samui is a tropical paradise with pure white sandy beaches
and crystal clear water. I highly recommend this beautiful island
over the touristy/over-built Phuket. This guide book is one of the
few to provide detailed information on this treasure.
